Live Audio Production
Full-service live sound production for concerts, festivals, tours and events — Brisbane and Queensland-wide.
Live sound production for concerts, festivals, tours & events across Brisbane & Queensland.
Live audio production is the whole job — not just a PA on a stage. Apex Live Audio designs the system for your venue and audience, supplies and rigs the equipment, provides front-of-house and monitor engineers and crew, advances the show with the artist’s production team, and runs it from soundcheck to load-out.
We’ve done this for international touring artists who had every option available and chose to trust us with their sound. The result for you is a show that sounds superb, starts on time and never gives you a reason to think about the audio.
The problems we solve
- A promoter or event producer juggling a dozen suppliers who needs one audio company that owns the whole outcome
- Touring acts arriving with a rider, a stage plot and no tolerance for a local supplier that can't meet it
- Festivals with multiple stages, tight changeovers and a schedule that can't slip
- Venues and rooms that are acoustically difficult — outdoor sites, marquees, halls, heritage theatres — where the system has to be designed, not just delivered
- Corporate and civic events where the audio "just working" is non-negotiable and there is no rehearsal
- Past experiences of gear failures, feedback, missed cues and engineers who weren't listening

Do
- Get us involved as early as possible — the best outcomes come from system design done before the site plan is locked.
- Send the artist's technical rider and stage plot as soon as you have it, even if it's a draft.
- Tell us the audience size, venue layout and whether the event is indoors, outdoors or under a marquee.
- Confirm power availability and access times up front — these drive the schedule more than anything else.
Don't
- Book the PA on a per-speaker basis and hope it covers the room coverage is a design question, not a quantity question.
- Assume the venue's in-house system is suitable for a touring act; check the rider first.
- Leave the running order and changeover times until the week of the show.
- Skimp on monitors — if the band can't hear themselves, the audience hears it too.
Frequently asked questions
PA hire is the equipment. Production is the complete service — design, gear, engineers, crew, the advance with the artist and running the show. If you want one company responsible for the sound, this is the page.
Yes. Front-of-house and monitor engineers, system technicians and stage crew are part of the production package. If the artist tours with their own engineers, we provide the system, the system tech and support them.
That's where our history is. We've worked closely with international touring artists across many shows and are used to advancing riders, spec'ing to them and providing what's asked for or an approved equivalent.
From club and theatre shows through to festival main stages and outdoor concerts. Tell us the venue and audience size and we'll design accordingly.
Yes — multiple stages, changeovers, shared and separate control positions, and site-wide RF coordination.
Outdoor sites need proper system design for coverage and wind, weather protection for equipment, safe rigging or ground stacking, and delay towers where the audience area is deep. We plan all of it.
Often, yes — we can supply control, monitors, wireless and engineers to a house system, or supplement it. We'll assess it first and tell you honestly whether it will do the job.
As early as you can, particularly for peak festival season and weekends. Once the date is held we do the advance work with you in the lead-up.
Yes — we service all of Queensland. Regional and touring work is quoted with travel and accommodation included so there are no surprises.
Every show is quoted on the venue, audience, programme, crew and duration. Send us the details and the rider and we'll come back with a clear package price.
